I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland with a childhood not much different than the kids of Sandlot, a hometown neighborhood with a great sense of community. I moved to Athens to attend Ohio University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology/Criminology. My degree led to a 10-year career in the social services. While working for a local non-profit, I helped many members of the community find stable housing. Working for a grassroots organization with only 3 full-time employees and more than 150 members a year, I perfected the art of multi-tasking, problem solving, and meeting deadlines during times of stress and chaos. This experience led me to returning to Ohio University and pursuing a career in Real Estate.
What I’ve realized is that I truly enjoy the treasure hunt and helping people find what they are looking for, even if they don’t know what that is yet. I listen to what their dreams are and help them translate that into acquiring a great home where they can create and share memories. Advocacy and communication are my strongest skills and I believe these two attributes are the difference between being a good agent and being a great agent.
When life changes, I am there to help and will always give 110%. That determination started with day one of my real estate career. While it’s not unusual for agents at first to struggle, I landed just shy of $2 million worth of real estate transactions that year. I believe that is because I did anything and everything to overcome every obstacle in the way of getting sellers and buyers to the finish line. (And believe me, there were a host of unforeseen obstacles!) Over the last 10 years, I’ve also helped landlords with their investment properties. If income properties are more your idea of the perfect real estate, I have unique knowledge and perspective. I get right to the issues at hand: income potential.
When I am not working on real estate, I enjoy kayaking on the Hocking river, organic vegetable gardening, seeing live music, watching The Cleveland Browns, and taking trips to Cleveland to visit family.
